Sustainable Communities

I was proud to represent the Bagenalstown Sustainable Energy Community Network at a recent SEAI conference in New Ross, Co. Wexford. The conference brought communities across the South East together to showcase projects in thier respective communities which are making their communities more sustainable. There's some great work going on involving activists from all walks of life doing their utmost to promote sustainable solutions at ground level. I showcaesd the installation of solar panels on the clubhouse roof of Bagenalstown AFC. In the calendar year the club has saved €1,000. The project was grant aided by Leader and will result in an environmental legacy, as well as a spoting one for the club. I also outlined the BSECN journey from first meeting, to an Energy Master Plan for Bagenalstown to an Energy Expo. Onwards and upwards.
