CCEN talk on Community Gardens

There was a large turnout at PDLS Bagenalstown for the County Carlow Environmental Network (CCEN) talk on community gardens. The audience first enjoyed a viewing of 'Together We Grow', an inspirational film from New Zealand on a community garden socail enterprise. A panel of community activists from across Carlow then offered their perspective on community gardens, their first hand experiences and tips for other staert ups. There are so many benefits to community gardens; good food grown locally, fewer food miles, people working collaboratively on shared goals, the list goes on. All we need is to get all the relevant stakeholders beinf the concept.
