KCLR took to the road in December and hosted a programme in Bagenalstown encouraging people to Shop Local for Christmas. I got the opportunity to speak about sustainable town renewal. I was particularly keen to articulate my vision for how Bagenalastown's town centre might be rejuvenated. I argued that the town should expoit its built and natural heritage as a vehicle for urban renewal. The establishment of a Barrow Heritage Centre could be the stimulant which would result in a return of vibrancy to the town centre. This concept is resonating in the community.
